I feel your pain!  As many moms have told me it does get easier.  Takes a few days,  God bless your daughter.

I was where you are only a week ago! I DO know how you feel. My daughter is beginning week 2 now and I can't wait to get her first phone call and letter! I got "the box" last Thursday and received the letter today with ship date, and division #. There was a note attached from her and it took a big weight off my shoulders! Just seeing her handwriting made me feel better...who da thunk it? By just seeing her writing made me feel so much better! I love that girl so much!!!!

Moms- it WILL get easier, I promise! I was in your shoes just one year ago...and I actually survived! My ONLY child joined the Navy on his own in Nov. 2010. Left for bootcamp March 9, 2011 and became a Sailor on May 6, 2011. He was 19 when he joined and graduated from RTC, 20 when he finished A school ( as a Seabee) and came home from A school and got married!! I can tell you that the pride I feel for my son only swells with each day, and yours will also as your child moves through the process of what you will become very familiar with, The Navy. I'm thinking of all you newbie mommies, sitting here with tears in my eyes for you. YES, it WILL get better with each day that passes!!
