Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My oldest son (19) left yesterday for BC in Illinois. I am a wreck. Did nothing but cry yesterday.
I have another son age 17 who has one more year in Tech School. Please can someone put my
mind at ease about what goes on there. I here many diff things. I sometimes don't think I will
be able to do this waiting without crying everyday. I am very proud of him, believe me. His dad
passed away in 2011 and I know he misses him very much and would have loved for him to be here.
I just want to know if they are ok while they are they are there. When can I expect to talk to him?
Please help :)
Deb

Does anyone know if I can see if my son passed any of his tests??
Lynn, it is up to your SR to share information on how he is doing. Unless you hear differently from him, all is well.
lemonelephant, when my boy called me tonight he said he passed both tests :) Wooo Hoooo. He sounded better tonight then he did last Saturday... I was a bit worried as he doesnt do too well on tests. He also said he "holds the flag"..... .
Lynn, that is good news! Find out which flag he holds and that will help you to locate him easily at PIR.
Good question.. Thank you I will. I hope i don't run out there when I see him.... I was watching the July 27th graduation and I was balling.... I could barely breath.. So much emotions.. It's different being a parent of a Military child vs me being the child of a Military parent...
Yes, I totally understand; I was an Army Brat.
