Hi All- my daughter is starting 4-1 today. Apparently- I am not handling this to well- as I am having panic attacks and have gained 10 pounds- I don't understand it- I'm proud and I've stayed positive- I miss her like crazy but I know she's doing fantastic..How did I get to a point where i don't have panic attacks anymore?
relax sweetie! just breathe..... she will be alright, she;s in gov hands now, and they will take care of her, room, board and pay!! wow!! :) blessings.
Stay busy and stay informed and know that you've done a good job with her and now you have placed her in the best hands of all--those of God and the US Navy--as she heads off to pursue her own dreams. (((((Liz'smom))))) That's a cyber hug from one Navy Mom to another.
amen to that lemonelephant,, and its "huddle"time! :)
Seriously--just BREATHE!. She is safe. And when you start having a panic attack--we literally forget to breathe. And then our brains freak us into panic. Oxygen is needed--so take deep breaths. And remember she is fine. "No news is good news."
Thank you My3sons, lemeonelphant, and BSB-I guess taking this one day at time si also going to be key- Asthma and panic attacks are a pain in the kisser- like I said I have been ok- guessing my subconsious is saying else..
Try exercising daily with the goal of Graduation in mind and looking fabulous for your daughter. My son has been gone 4 weeks and I have lost about 15 pounds with just watching what I eat and a daily 1/2 hour workout to some of my favorite music. Believe it or not, and I still don't....I can do 200 sit ups on my bed holding my feet under the footboard. And I am no spring chicken! Best to you and know that God is keeping a watchful eye over all our sons and daughters. GOD BLESS
Staying at home is the worst for me! All I can do when I'm at home is curl up and cry and miss my son so terribly. I am keeping busy working and then getting to the gym to work out. When I feel tired in my work out I think of my son and it gives me adrenaline to go a little harder and push myself. I hope to get rid of this mushroom top by the time I see him at PIR! Get busy . . . get out of the house . . . but, by all means, CRY when you need to cry. It's a heart breaking experience and even though what our kids are doing is GREAT, HONORABLE, and something to ADMIRE beyond belief, it doesn't make us miss them less. I miss mine so, so badly!
Hi All- I'm at work- and it's busy as crazy today- but anxiety is up- I wonder if it's excitement-cause tomorrow should be letter day and I can't wait to here from her - I've been walking more- and trying to stay more busy- finding the weeks are flying faster now...Thank you for all your advise!
Fair winds and Following Seas to all!
Walking is good, with some tunes, and than some yoga at home! It works for me! :)
woohoo! proud navy mom on the situps,, I should try that!
