Yesterday one of the aids wanted to get Yvonne transferred from her bed to a wheel chair and was not close enough to assist when her legs buckled on her again. This time the PT supervisor as well as the director of nurses all got involved to make sure that didn't happen again. They are now requiring two aids to assist when transferring Yvonne. As a result she had more pain than usual, especially last night. Today was better. Two aids moved her from the bed to a wheel chair today - successfully! Yvonne had a group therapy session today that was new. One thing they did was bring a walker over to her wheel chair and had her get up and stand at the walker for a few seconds. Then the therapist had her stand on her tippy toes ten times. She was able to do it without any problem! I was watching and was really pleased with that! She was in a bit more pain tonight, she thinks it's the wound vac that is attached to her back. But all in all, this was a pretty good day! Thank you Jesus!! Standing with that walker really boosted Yvonne's confidence level. It seems sooo long though. She had her surgery 1 month ago on the 18th. I had a stair lift put in yesterday so that Yvonne wouldn't have to climb the stairs during her recovery after she gets home.

John, this is good news! Holding on to the testimony of the Lord!! I am believing that God will continue to strengthen her legs, heal her wounds and that her pain will cease.

I assume that the physical therapist having her hold on to the walker and raise and lower on her tippy toes is to help with the stretching of her legs and those muscles. I have to do similar type stretching with my feet and leg muscles after I have been sitting or even lying down for an extended amount of time. I am also praying for the therapist to continue to have wisdom with their therapy program for Yvonne.

May you continue to rest in God's peace, moment by moment, day by day with His grace and mercy.

John continued prayers for strength in Yvonne's legs and pain relief. I also hold you up in prayers, the process is so long and we so desperately look for little signs of progress. Please Lord may those signs multiply day by day and John and Yvonne be overflowing with encouragement. We pray in Jesus name, Amen!

Continued prayers for Yvonne for strength in her legs to be able to walk unassisted and begin a successful recovery at home when she finally is released from the hospital.
