I don't know if blogging every day is normal or not but I'm going to blog a lot because it helps me. I feel like here I'll get positive comments and I don't just want to write to myself in a journal and I feel like others won't understand. Sorry if my posts blow up the blog area.
I had a rough day not due to my SR leaving. My spent all day with my friend (not my plan). I came home around 8 and had to pack everything I needed to go back to college tomorrow. Move in is Sunday and classes start Wednesday. I also need to take an online driving course. Now, technically my SR is involved because now I'm always close to the edge of emotional. Little things like texts from his mom makes me want to cry. I haven't cried yet but I feel like I will. I'm trying to stay strong. I do miss him.
I wrote another letter today and told him about my day. Nothing crazy sad just that my day wasn't awesome. I wrote encouragements at the end and included a quote from one of my favorite books. I also decided I'm going to write a "Pun of the Day" at the end because he loves puns and I hope they'll brighten his day. Even though I miss him, I'm excited to see him again and that is helping me get through this.
I love the information and comfort on this site. Thanks for reading to those who did. Once again it rambles but it helps to get thoughts out there and see great response from other people who understand :)
Good luck getting ready to go back to college. Staying busy is the best thing you can do. The very beginning is the hardest part. Once you have some contact (letters or a phone call) it gets a little easier. I added an inspirational quote to the end of each of my letters. My son is now classing up for his A school and he is a little nervous. He asked me to send him a quote every morning at 5am by text! I am not a morning person but I said I would send one every night before I went to bed so he would have it in the morning. But puns and jokes are great. I hope you can read the attached. I found them on FB and sent them in letters.
