Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

One Month In
My baby girl has been gone for one month and it is still hard but each time we talk or read a letter you see and hear the growth that she is making. She left me a month ago a little girl and she is growing into that mature young adult that I knew she would.
She has always been very mature but she is understanding now that she is mature. I think it was just ingrained and she took it for granted. I hope she will always love and believe in Unicorns and not lose that little girl innocent way of looking at the world. But I am so proud of her for all that she is doing.
I know that each new group that comes in the need to take care of our SR's is so strong but it does get easier as time goes on and that is something that I didn't think would happen. This website has been great for showing that I am not alone and the support has been wonderful.
Watching my older daughter send her sister, her boyfriends little brother and soon her boyfriend off to various BC has been harder for me than watching my youngest daughter spread her wings and fly because she is with me and I have no way to reassure her that everything will be OK.
I am proud of each of these young adults who have taken the burden of protecting our freedom and pray each and every day for their safety, growth and safe return to their families. God Bless all.
