For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

In our form letter instead of my son putting our names he put Mom, Dad, Sister and Grandmother... is that going to cause a problem... what should we do?

We were asked for our ID before entering the auditorium. When is his PIR? The next time you write or talk to him be sure he changes to proper names. Don't want any snags on this great day.

My son did the same thing in the form letter. No problems. I'm sure it is as LH said above. They put actual names on the formal list, which will be at PIR.

My son did the EXACT same thing...Mom, Dad and Grandpa! In each letter I sent him I wrote in P.S. Make sure our names are written out completely...if they ask again! Sure enough he mentioned they do ask them again to write the names down on a list. I think in the beginning they are not thinking clearly and are rushed. No worries....I'm sure it happens a lot!

My son listed his sisters maiden name and her id has her married name. I so hope he fixes that. Any suggestions?
