I was just emailing a friend  (found here) that I should be sitting at the mailbox every day at 2 PM singing"Mr. Postman". It is encouraging to see that "JordonsMom" got a letter and her son left the same day as mine... so, I know everyone gets processed differently and our letters should be on their way soon. I was happy to see her date as 10/5... for some reason I was told more than likely,  10/12.... we'll see!!

I am very happy to hear from so many wonderful women who are in the same boat (pardon the pun) as me. Someone needs to write a book about this experience. Military heme things seem to be making a comeback. Maybe a reality show. Although, the footage from  a camera in my house wouldn't make it very high in the TV ratings! YAWN

My son's girlfriend just dropped in to say bye (off to college tomorrow) and to drop off some homemade salsa!

She looks great, misses he BF very much and I think she was hoping I had an address.... sorry sweetie. The Navy is on it's own schedule, and we're gonna get used to it!

Blessings to all!

You may want to join, or at least check out, Boot Camp Mom's, PIR Reference Information, and New Members Stop Here.

Know that recruits who arrive on the same date may be in 2 different TG's and have different PIR dates.  It all depends on how the divisions form, so you cannot use the arrival date to determine PIR date.  I hope you get that form letter soon.

Thanks! I did read that all the divisions can have different dates regardless of arrival. I just need to forget where the mailbox is or remember that 9.99 out of 10 visits there will be bills and only bills!:)

"Stocking the MailPerson" is a very common art amongst mom's with kid's in bootcamp. I know I was!! They can't write until their 2nd and sometimes 3rd Sunday after arriving at RTC. After they finally start arriving, they usually arrive like clockwork IF your son/daughter writes. I'm in Washington State and my mail came from RTC on Thursday's. Just to give you an idea.
