i have no ideal what rule he broke he was off in another country, he has 30 day restriction but can still come home on leave i dont know if he got de-ranked or less pay . he is suppose to call me Sunday. i talked with the Chaplain and he assured me he is NOT in THAT MUCH TROUBLE but after being deployed for 8 months guess it was getting at him. it did make me feel somewhat better talking with the Chaplain he said my sons command must think highly of him becuase the restriction could be a whole lot worse. i cant amagine him doing something stupid but yep he did. and now is paying the price.thanks for your comment

Tammy - I have a very good understanding on this.  More than likely he got 45 days restriction, 45 days extra duty, 1/2 months pay x 1 month, and a suspended bust.  That is usually the normal punishment.

Well, I wouldn't want to make light of this, however, boys will be boys.  He did something naughty and now he has to take his "whippin."   Sounds like things could have been worse, and I hope he learns from it.

30 days is what the Chaplain told the Command said. he got to call me from the chaplains office last weekend and says i get another call Sunday. he told me i cold go visit him on the ship but it would only be in the galley for 2 hours a day which i live 1500 miles so i will wait and see what im told Sunday his leave was suppose to start AUG.29th but last i heard it will be Sept.1st sence he is on restriction. thanks for your reply i will see what happens Sunday . thanks from a worried mom and dad

Sometimes it's the Navy's way of letting them know who is in charge.  Mine is spending his time on the sub and not allowed off because he couldn't behave.  He called me to complain and to be honest with you I was glad the Navy stepped in and did something.  I have to agree with Michigan, boys will be boys and their Uncle Sam is given them their whippins.

What i dont understand is the trouble happened in another country in may he was able to get off the ship at 2 different port stops after the incident...he only foud out about his restriction a week before his ship stopped at its home port in Va. guess they started the restriction once in home port i hope it is just for 30 days cuase he and the chaplain assured me he would still get leave just a couple of days less then original plan so maybe perhaps they are giving him a break and hurry to start the restriction so he would still have time to come home.  ugh he is only a ET3 i hope he didnt get his ranked pushed back them nukes take that very serrious but then again he is getting what he deserves just drives me crazy i have no ideal what he did he is very respectful and aint stupid never even had a traffic ticket but being out to sea for 8 months might have gotten to him. im looking forward to my sunday call to see if he really is coming home the 1st of sept. thank you all for your responses and i will get back with ya to let ya know if its more good news or bad. have a blessed weekend yall...
