Sarge's Meet & Greet _ Highly Recommended

Hello Everyone!

I just wanted to drop you all a note regarding Sarge's Meet & Greet.  When I told my husband and older son we were going there they were not so thrilled. (To say the least.) Then we walked in and hardly anyone was there. (We were a tad early.) The décor is very country. Hence Sundance Saloon. (My son was looking for the bull) The food is all donated so it's just okay but wait it's free.

On to the most important thing: INFORMATION!!!! If you want quality information you need to attend this Meet & Greet. Let's just say my husband and son were eating their words that night and especially the following day when we went to PIR. They couldn't say enough about the information we received from Sarge.

Sarge, will talk to you about what your recruit has been doing, what is going to happen the day of PIR. The best way to drive to Great Lakes or he does offer a taxi service. He has a slideshow that he runs and discusses many different things with you. And on top of it you can meet up with some other recruit families. Maybe someone you have met on navyformoms that is in the same unit as your recruit.

I hope this helps anyone who is deciding whether to attend or not. My husband (who is a truck driver and has driven to Chicago) and my older son (who has driven to see a Packers game) still are talking about our Meet & Greet with Sarge and that was Jan. 3rd. (We live in CT)

Go, listen, enjoy.  Then have a good time with your sailor the following day.

Hi Nita,
If you look on the right hand side of your screen you will see about 3 or 4 different meet and greets. They are held the night before your child's PIR. So it should be Feb. 21st.
