Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

seriously......less than 24.....
What a crazy last week.....it was packed full of all sorts of activities...which was good because it kept us all busy.
But today...Fathers Day is our last day together here before he goes.
It started with me awake at 4am............the mind then decided to remind me that "today is the day".
and I was up.
We were at a wedding last night and as we pulled away from the reception my son just sighed and said"that was harder than I thought it would be"...the saying goodbyes seemed so permanent to him.
I wanted to cry...but I held strong.
We are just going to hang around the house today..he says he wants to work on his room....we'll see :)
I have a feeling its gonna be more like a bunch of playstation with his 12year old sis while looking forward to a great dinner at our favorite mexican resturant tonight.
Gotta get the calling card.....
Gotta get the bandaids.....
Gotta put the addys in his wallet.....
Gotta hug and kiss on him every second I can till he gets in the van tomorrow morning.....
DEP for a year......has it really flown by that quickly?
