Join the group, PIR 08/31/2012 TG 42 — 12 Divisions (269–278, 818 & 942), to connect with others with loved ones training with your SR.  Know that divisions 277 and 278 are brother divisions and train together and will have Battle Stations-21 together, so look for others with loved ones in either division.  You may also want to join, or at least check out, PIR Reference Information and New Members Stop Here since you are already of member of Boot Camp Mom's.

Thank you so much i need that hug Today is sunday I feel like I should have a phone call from him but I know I wont until 2 more weeks Nick told me he was going to go to church on sundays and he would call me in 3 weeks so 2 weeks to go do you know if that 3 wk phone call comes in on sundays or any day and around what time usually how long will he get to talk ?? Sorry so many questions thrown at you at once You have became my best friend ever wish we would have a chance to meet in person  smokeybear

Calls can come on any day of the week and at any time of the day--8ish am to 8ish pm Central time.  The 3 week call is not guaranteed and could happen in week 3 of training rather than week 3 at BC, which means that it can be more like 4 plus weeks after he left before it comes.  Have your phone available at all times and don't expect to get any calls other than the "I'm a Sailor!" call in the last week and be pleasantly surprised and thrilled if you get additional calls.  The RDC signs up for a block of time at the phones and then the recruits divide up that time.  The recruits usually can also call more than one person, so they choose to divide up the time however they choose.  Some calls may be for a few minutes and others for 30 minutes or more.  My calls came in the mid morning except for the "I'm a Sailor!" call, which came in the afternoon/evening on the day before PIR as we were driving up.

Since it is Sunday, he is most likely writing a letter, so that should come this week.  Wednesday was usually my mail day in Missouri, but it was on Thursday sometimes.

Who knows, one day we may meet.  I have become close friends with a few on here and we phone and email each other as well as communicate through this site.  I recently met one lady in person and will be spending time with her again next week.

Me and my daughter and son's girlfriend drove up to Illinois from KY to see my son graduate from bootcamp on friday. I was so excited to see him he lost another 16 pounds so skinny but very happy with NAVY and seeing us. We thouhgt we got him saturday too we didn't friday from noon to 7pm had to have him back on base. So hard when it came time to leave him I didn't want to let go of him but had to. He left Saturday at 5am to his A school in Mississippi for 10 weeks then we don't know where he will go. I'm still trying to get his room clean up where we seem to put everything in there when he left and had best friend stay there from CA. lol It has gotten alot easier to go in his room since the first time he left. I keep telling my self he said he had no regret with his decision very happy with it and can't wait to start seeing the world and learning more from them so that makes a mom so happy and very proud of the man he has became I love you Nickolas
