Welcome proudmama it is a rollercoaster ride for sure. My son has already completed bootcamp but I thought you might like to join a couple of groups. You will find others and lots of helpful information in these groups http://www.navyformoms.com/group/deppersinbutnotyet

http://www.navyformoms.com/group/leavinforbootcampinmarch

http://www.navyformoms.com/group/newmomsstophere

those are all clickable links and there are lots of links to follow in those groups for additional information. You will be glad you are here early because it will give you some time to prepare. Once your daughter ships there will be other groups that are helpful to you. There is also an open chat which is a fun way to make friends and get questions answered fast.

Enjoy your time with your daughter before she goes it will go by quickly :)

Amanda has given you some good suggestions. As your future Sailor's ship date gets closer, be sure to check out the discussion, Things to Do in the Last Month Before Your Future Sailor Leaves for.... I also suggest you join Boot Camp Moms and check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) and Discussions there as well as in the other groups you join.

Your future Sailor may want to join http://www.navydep.com to learn the ins and outs from the DEP point of view. Craig runs that and will steer her to some good links on there.

I see you have also joined the groups for MA. That is a rating dear to my heart since I have an MA.
