My youngest son arrived at boot camp on Dec. 13 I thought it would be easier for me since I already have a son in the Navy, but it is still hard going through this process.
Our son shipped 12/13 and we received his letter today with his PIR 01Feb19. Super excited to get the info, not surprised he didn't include a personal message.
Lulujams, That is great news. I left info on your My Page.
Lulujams that’s awesome to hear I’m hoping our letter will come soon so we can start planning!
ProudSDmom I’m eager also, I run to the mailbox when I hear the mailman, but nothing yet...hopefully soon!
Even though my son arrived on 12/18, he didn't have his fitness test until 12/27, so now I'm thinking his form letter won't arrive until the end of next week, due to the holiday in between. Bummer.
KLT73 I hope it does not take to long, info I read says it usually takes 14 days from the day they arrived but could be a couple more days then that. I really hope you get it soon.
Please don't misunderstand. I really hope you get yours earlier than that. If the PRT is suppose to be passed before that letter is mailed, then I'm expecting the form around Jan 2 or 3rd, for my recruit. He did give me his division # and PIR date (provided all went well) which was odd if he hadn't taken the test yet. Starting to sound like mine's in a push division, since some of this appears out of order than what's stated on the website. When my daughter was there, the form arrived 10 days later, but there were no holidays and she was assigned to the 900 division within 2 days of arrival. That was 5 years ago, though. I hope the mailman brings you good news tomorrow.
KLT73 i understand what your saying I meant I hope yours doesn’t take to long to come. I’m happy you spoke with him and you have his PiR date and division. That’s all I’m waiting for so we can start planning our trip.
The form letter now arrives 9 to 14 business days after the recruit's arrival at RTC.
