My youngest son arrived at boot camp on Dec. 13 I thought it would be easier for me since I already have a son in the Navy, but it is still hard going through this process.

Got the form letter today. Nothing from my son, but at least I can start making plans.

Hoping the letter arrives soon. I already go a personal letter from him. I think he was verifying who could make it to his graduation. I got a hotel room, car, flight. Now just need the letter. He shipped on Dec 13 as well!

MTBCHCK, since you received a personal letter without receiving The Form Letter, then you can download the Security Access Form and complete it and send it to your recruit, but your recruit has the final say on who will attend PIR.

MTBCHCK I have everything booked also I can’t wait. It’s hard though when they only allow 3 guests but I understand they have a lot of recruits graduating. Now I’m just waiting on a phone call!

I’m kind of dreading sending the form letter back because my son will find out his big brother will not be there. He is the reason why he wants to be in the navy he wants to follow in his  footsteps and I know he will be upset. I really don’t want him to be down I know it’s already hard for them at boot camp, but my oldest will be underway so can’t make it. But I know I have to send it back...
