Yes definitely go to the swearing in ....we were told we couldn't go to the airport...but we got to see our son leave on the bus.....it is your last hugs and kisses for a while....and they need your support, it is sad to see kids leaving with no support all alone...My son was so happy to begin his navy life that I managed to not cry until after he was gone, I am so glad he was so strong, it made the parting easier !!

YES, YES, YES GO TO SWEARING IN!!!!! My Grandson was one of 15 or 20 recruits at his SWEARING IN. He was the only one who had family there: Grandmother, Grandfather, Mom, Dad and Step-Dad. We were made very welcomed. Thanked us for being there to support our recruit as well the others. I thought that was so sad. Less than 2% of the population are willing to defend this GREAT NATION and they have so little family support OR community support. Next time you see a military person in your community. Thank Them!!!
