I came home from work today like any other day...went through the garage door, went out the front door to let the dog out and there it sat! On my step....the BOX.....I picked it up, looked at it, seen where it was from...turned it upside down, recognized the penmanship on the bottom of the box...my son's handwriting....his name on the box....OMG do i open it? Can I do it? I sat down on the porch swing and looked at it...will it smell like him? Will it make me cry? Will I be any use the rest of the day? OMG I  had to open it lol...and yes I was ok...I teared up, but the pride in my heart for my son and what he's doing with his life, Thank God, overpowered the urge to be sad...yes, it smelled like him, so I felt like I was almost able to touch him....so for now, I'm ok...me and the box...it's still sitting here looking at me...when I'll take everything out and wash it? I don't know, can't promise yet lol...now if only the letter will come as quick!!!

aww. i got his address today and that made me so excited but i'm still seeing if i or his parents will recieve the box. my fiance said he would send it to me but at the end idk if he remembered my address. he repeated it to me a million times before leaving so i hope he did. i can't wait to get it and I know i won't wash it for a while. do you know what div and ship he's on? mine is ship 03 div 144. good luck with everything and hang in there. i know waiting for the letters is getting a little nerve wracking. if you have videos maybe you should watch them it might help hearing his voice. i did that with his voicemails. :)

I did the same thing when I received the box, I decided to unpack it hoping to find some secret note tucked in a pocket or shoe. I did find a little :) face hidden on the outside. that's all I needed. Still haven't clean the bathroom and made the bed. I need those little reminders that were left for me . :)

I havn't received the box yet, but did get the address to at least write. I'm worried that when the box comes I will cry alot.  I'm trying to be strong but theres no other like the love of a mother or father. Hes always been so close and comical i just hope the Navy is ready for him. lol  After they polish him, I know he will be even a better man than he is now

Rose, if you cry, it's ok..sometimes crying is a cleansing and is sure relieves us so don't hold it back..you're a MOTHER  lol. you are going to cry so why fight it...but you will be strong at the same time...I'll be glad to get an address..hopefully that will come this week...
