This the last night with my son. Wow that sounds really sad and I am. When he enlisted last April we were told he would not leave till December 21. With that info my husband and I booked a vacation for the early December. Well the worst thing happened in mid November...they changed his leave date to December 7th...smack dab in the middle of when we will be gone. I am not mad as I know the dates can change. I looked into changing our vacation date but with trying to change multiple things it just was not possible. So in the morning I will have to say goodbye and see you later to my little boy. He is 20 but he is my youngest child so he will always be my little boy. I am sure you all know what I mean. I am trying to be strong and I know I will see him in February but when I leave in the morning I know it will begin a new chapter in my life...in his life. I am so proud of him and love him so much...I hope he knows how much!! I am so looking forward to that short but all so important call the night of the 7th. I cannot imaging the excitement of getting "the box" and the letter with all the graduation info. There is so much to look forward  to and I am excited for all of it. I will just miss him so much. This site has helped and I am glad for it and some of the new friends I have made, Take care everyone. If your child is leaving soon make the most out of the days you have left as they fly by so fast!!!

My daughter is leaving on December 8, it is going by so quick.  I don't know much about the Navy but i am learning.  I have been looking into hotels, flights, amtax and rental cars for graduation because I live in WV and the weather, I am sure, isn't going to be the greatest to drive in.  Any suggestions of the cheapest way to go, along with any other information will be greatly appreciated.  I heard someone talk about staying at the Navy Lodge ...how much and where is it located?  Please help...so stressed right now.
