Hi everyone this is my first time posting and I'm not very tech savvy so please bare with me, anyway my son just came off quarantine on Wednesday in bootcamp,  but now I'm hearing he has another 2weeks before I can write or I'll hear from him, which is fine, but I just wanted to encourage him and make sure he was fine, he's my youngest at and 18 and has never been away from us this long. It's really me that's going through anxiety though, has anyone else experienced this ?

Welcome LilDsmom!  Everything you are feeling is normal!  You should probably get the official form letter around week 4 - then you'll have an address to write him.  In the meantime just keep writing letters and # them in the corner so as soon as you get the address you can mail them out.  I left the link to the boot camp group in the welcome message on your page.  I recommend you come over there and post your questions as you'll get more responses and find more info there.

Hang in there!

LilD: how did you find out your son was in quarantine? My son was vaccinated but we were told he may have to if there was not a large enough group to start. Just curious.

Hi, he wasn't vaccinated going in so they told us last minute that he would be quaranting with quite a few others.

LilDsMom - I am sorry I missed this post. I had computer issues the other day and I am trying to catch up. I left a message on your profile page. Please be sure and come to the BC Mom group page that you joined. We have a section at the bottom of that group where there is a comment wall - that is the best place to post your questions and concerns for more of the members to see and reply.

Imftnavymom21 - I have lost track of how long yours has been gone. Even for those that have been vaccinated, there seems to be about a 3 - 4 day hold for them as their records are verified and vetted. That is the most that I have gleaned from other moms with SRs in a similar situation. Hopefully you will hear soon. The Form letter was taking 4 - 5 weeks now I think it is back down to 3- 4 weeks maybe sooner and some are receiving a personal letter prior to the form letter, even a "good" phone call, it just depends on the division and how quickly his forms.

Hi everyone , I’m pleading the blood of Jesus  over all of our children, and asked the Lord to keep a hedge of protection around them. That’s always my prayer so I won’t worry .Now can anyone please tell me am I writing in the correct area when responding, or trying to converse with you guy's?

Comment by B'sNukeMoM⚓️MMN(Vet) on August 20, 2021 at 9:57am

LilDsmom - yes, you are responding in the correct area!

I would like to say though, come on over to the boot camp group and post there.  There's a lot more chatter and activity going on over there.  And once you know your SR's PIR date you can also join that group!

Happy Friday!

LilDsmom - you are replying to your blog that you posted on the Navy for Moms website. You have also joined the BC Moms group. Here is the link for it again - Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) - Navy For Moms (ning.com) - you can also get to it by going to your profile page  (My Page) up in the blue banner above and click on the group from there. Once you are on the BC Mom group page, if you will scroll down past most of the information that is posted, past an area called Discussions, you will come to a gray box that says Comment Wall and should have your icon picture beside it. If you post a message in that box, and add your comment, that is where we do most of our daily chatter on the BC Mom and Loved ones group and more of the members are likely to see your posts there.

If you are trying to view this site on a mobile device it can be a lot more difficult to maneuver versus on a computer. It has been recommended to put your mobile device into desktop mode when trying to move around the site. I don't use a phone, I do everything on my computer and it is easy to navigate but I know that others have a difficult time doing so, especially if they are on their phones.

I would also like to invite you to come join our ✟CHRISTIAN NAVY MOMS - Navy For Moms (ning.com) group as well if you would like. That is a closed and private group, similar to the set up of the PIR groups and so you have to wait for me to approve you before you can post or join that group.
