I am happy to say that I made it through the first week and am now less than a week and half away from Graduation. It has seemed to be a real roller coaster ride. I have aged; there is no doubt about that. The grey is showing through and I don’t think I have had a good night’s sleep since my SR left. I am so proud of her I am beyond the “Cloud 9” affect.

I never thought I would make it this whole time. I do stay off most of the sites for nothing more than it depresses me to see anyone fail. I guess I would never make a good RDC as my SR’s recruiter said, because I would take it too personal if someone I had did not succeed until the very end. I believe each and every one of the RDC’s have a difficult job getting this young men and woman “Fleet Ready”.

This 4^th of July has so many special meanings to me. I know that I have a child who is willing to give their time and service to the United States. That is HUGE for me. I also know that as she goes through BS21 this week, her Grandfather, who flew over Normandy and throughout the European Theater as a Bomber pilot is looking down with pride and her and will be with her every step of the way.

To end, in the famous quote of George Washington:

"It follows then as certain as that night succeeds the day, that without a decisive naval force we can do nothing definitive, and with it, everything honorable and glorious."

Praying for all recruits who continue through this week onto Battle Stations 21 and then onto Graduation. May you all succeed at your endeavor; you are true heroes for taking on this most difficult of task and giving it your all.
