Gale,
I am like freaking out right now because I am not sure if they got my husband's Itinerary in time. I called the public affairs office and she told me she thought it was Dec. 3rd, last Friday. but that if we didn't meet the deadline they should stil be able to come home. But I talked to that lady yesterday and she didn't really know what she was talking about. She couldn't even tell me the fax number for the scheduling office. Do you know what the deadline is for division 906 for the itinerary? I would REALLY appreciate it if you could let me know.
Thanks, Megan = )

Lol that is funny. My grandma lives in Sykesville, thats where my Dad grew up. He lives in Hampstead now. What is your hubby's job?

I thought he could just make the arrangements when he got home, but then when I emailed his itinerary home they told me I had to send his itinerary for A School too. So I got a non refundable flight bc I couldn't find any refundable ones. Atleast now I know I have it covered because I heard if you don't send the right itinerary they can't come home. That's so cool our husbands are in the same division! Does that mean they have the same job? Maybe I will see you at Grad! lol. Thanks for the info and friend request. = )

Hi Gaile, When did your son start Boot Camp?

I am out in the River Ridge area. My son is Ship 03 Div 27. One of my son's friends left at the same time. They both ended up in the same division. I haven't seen that mom on here.
Yes, I received the box but no letter. I remember recruiter said approximately 7-10 days after he leaves to receive the letter. I sure do miss him. He is my only child. It's something he really wanted to do and I am proud of that.

I'm sure you got the right scarf. It glows so bright (and bumpy) that we will be able to see each other form across the field house.

Good Morning, The first thing I say to my husband every evening when he gets home is if a letter came from S. He knows he is not allowed to roll his eyes at me any longer so he has resorted to comical comments. But at least I know he is throwing me under the bus to his students. They get such a kick out of his humor where our marriage is concerned. His students come from sometimes rough and angry homes so he tries to give them an image of a home where there is love and laughter. So I'm sure today he is telling them about me sitting on the mail box. Have a great day!

No box as S didn't want to send anything home. No letter. Daniel said I looked really silly sitting on the mail box. His new way of rolling his eyes at me. Hope you enjoyed the "kid in a box". I love the pink scarf thing. I bought one a few weeks back thinking I would be with the group. No idea we would be split up. But I'm glad we are doing it too. I'm really liking all the mom's on this site. So all is OK with whatever PIR they give my son. Have a great evening.

No letter today. Just don't know what to think.

Hi Gaile, Do you have a popcorn pink scarf from Old Navy? We are all going to have them on at PIR so we can find each other. PIR on the 10 or 17 is going to be a problem. My younger son has big finals the middle of December through the 19th, at CSM, and my husband teachers school and has to get a special OK to be gone if the days off will connect with a holiday break. But I will make sure I am at PIR. I will keep in touch. This site has been a big help to me. Have a nice evening and I'll touch base with you on Monday after the mail comes.

Gaile, I live in Denver. Won't be getting a box as S tossed all his clothes. He called Last night about 5pm MST. Talked for about 20 minutes. Was wonderful to hear him and he sounded so good. Did your son call you Friday? What is a performance division? Is that the marching band? And how do we find out what PIR date. Some seem to know? How?
