At GL - A school:

Phase 1: They have to shadow all the watches, then they are allowed liberty off base in uniform with a group - but have a nightly curfew.

Phase 2: They have to then do a certain amount of watches and pass an oral board to be able to wear civilian clothes and go off base - weekends they can be gone overnight. - with a liberty buddy

They have a 300 mile radius that they can go when they are on liberty.

Beware that if they get "field day" - which is NOT a good thing things change and they can lose liberty.

My daughter has been at GLA since September and is leaving tomorrow for her first duty station. We had a lot of sailors at our home off and on during those 3 1/2 months.

Hey Denise

Hope you're doing ok.  Cold and wet here.  The snow isn't sticking but it has snowed all day.  Strange!  I saw Jamie's pix on the website. (he's the one with the Navy issued glasses, right?)  If you're on FB send me a friend request.  Sandy Johnson Knight- profile pic is William and Bailey (his sister)! Happy Holidays!
