For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor,NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!
Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

All Hands Magazine's full length documentary "Making a Sailor": This video follows four recruits through Boot Camp in the spring of 2018 who were assigned to DIV 229, an integrated division, which had PIR on 05/25/2018.
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video:"Importance of Navy OPSEC."
Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass isno longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Great advise I thank you so much, My two sons will enjoy the cards, it's the first time they separate, they are 19 and 14 myy youngest is in trying to cope with the situation but happy for his brother, thanks again.

THE FIRST NIGHT SHE GOT IN HER CALL DROP AND WE HAD TO WAIT A BIT, THRU HER LETTER AND HER NEXT CALL WAS TO HER DAD. I KNOW HER DAD AND I WONT BE ABLE TO MAKE HER GRADUATION ON JULY 13 2012, SO IF I CAN GET PHONE CARDS TO HER BEFORE THAT DATE WOULD BE AWSOME , SO WE CAN ATLEAST TALK THE DAY OF HER GRADUTION.

Thanks so much, we sent him a card already, and received my first real call from him today. It was awesome hearing his voice. I have really enjoyed all the info this site has to offer.
wow. That is good to know. I got him a card but he hasn't called. I know he loves me so I am not sure why. Is it hard to get to the phone in boot camp?
Thank you for the phone card info. I wish I had known about them but I will share the info. We are long past Boot Camp. My son is on a 9 month deployment. He just left last week so it's going to be a long wait. :)

Same here. Dunham is already gone out w/our son on board.
