Thank you for the website and all the information it contains. My son too arrived at Great Lakes on the 12th. Receiving his things was a little more difficult than I imagined it would be. Really looking forward to hearing his voice in the next several weeks. Thanks again for the site and access to other Navy family members!

Thank you for your post.  I have been on this site multiple times since our daughter decided to enlist.  She was sworn in on May 29th and is assigned to ship 02 div 937. We have received our kid in the box, the "I got here call" and her form letter.  I am waiting anxiously for a phone call, mainly just to hear her voice.

Thank you so much for all the info I have watched the video's and trying to take in everything I can.  My son left for bootcamp on JUNE 6, 2012 so i've only had the "I got her safe" phone call. I know he is ship 13 div 236 if there is anyone else who has a recruit there.

Thank you for the welcome to a new Navy mom! My son was just sworn in TODAY! He picked a job, but will take the nuke test on Monday, and evidently everything changes if he passes that.

does he have to have the calling card or can he just use his cell phone for the first call? I guess they will need it if they get to make calls later, right?
