I was in Alpha Delta Pi. I really enjoyed it, but at the time I was just way to busy to be as involved as I would have liked to be. What sorority are you in? He was just at Community College at the time so no, but he isn't into the frat stuff. He hung out with some of my guy friends and it changed his mind a little bit. haha. I need to go shoe shopping. :) I am right there with you when it comes to not being a morning person. I hate waking up. I figure I need to go to bed at like 8 the night before ha. I know he has already said he will pay for whatever I need him too. I believe we are driving to Chicago, I live just south of Memphis so it should not be to horrible of a drive I'm hoping. I'm riding up there with his mom and brother I think. We haven't talked much about it just yet. We should probably discuss that soon. LOL.

Yeah I was in a sorority and I dropped in December. I regret that decision now. I am still close with a bunch of them, but it's not the same. I can rejoin in August if I choose to. (which is a big maybe) I think he is in A school for a year. After that I think he goes to either Cali or North Carolina. I'm hoping for NC it's closer to me. Cali will be quite expensive to visit. :( But to be honest I am not 100% sure on anything. I have sent him two collages of pictures then a few individual ones. He said send more, I miss the outside world. LOL.

I cannot wait to hear about PIR. I have bought like three dresses this last month and I may wear one of them, but need to find comfy shoes. Hah. I hear there is ALOT of walking.

Lovely summer classes. I'm taking them too. Mainly just to stay busy because with Brad being gone I still have to force myself to do things. LOL. Ahh TEN DAYS. That is so close. I'm happy for you. You'll have to tell me all about it. :) He is going to A school in Great Lakes as well. A whole year there from what he says, but i've heard different things. Someone told me it's only 14 weeks. Guess i'll find out when the time comes. He is doing corpsman. I cannot wait to say I only have TEN days left. :) Actually I just can't wait to be there.

Hey! From the last time we talked, I'm doing great. So much better than before. I have my small breakdowns of course, but any normal person does I would imagine. I got a phone call on Tuesday so I am still on cloud nine from that. :) Just counting down the days until PIR. It's getting closer and closer. Yours is pretty soon, isn't it. Thanks for checking on me. I hope you are doing good as well.

That is such a good idea..about the picture thing. I write him everyday, all day too. In my letter Thursday I was like I really hope i'm not over doing it. I guess I will find out when that first letter comes. Is your boyfriend at bootcamp now? When is his PIR date if so?

Thank you so much. I am trying to be patient, but somedays it is so hard! It doesn't help I have a friend in the army who I can talk to everyday, they let them keep their cellphones. It is so unfair. I want to talk to my boyfriend everyday. I know it will get easier and I will male it through this just fine, but it is still so hard. We have never been apart.

Welcome to N4M. Your key to adjusting is finding a group where you can feel comfortable and get answers to your questions – Click on the underlined links:
1. New Moms Stop Here group. You should think of this group as your orientation station. We do have a number of experienced members who can answer questions and point you in the right direction.
2. Depper’s… in but not yet . is a group for those just waiting for bootcamp to start (Delayed Entry Program – a depper)
3. Boot Camp Moms group. Is he/she already in bootcamp? Or just about to go in? This is the group.
4. OCS Graduate Moms or the NROTC Moms. For those going to be an officer or going to NROTC?
Read this blog to get a jump start on how to use the N4M site.
Welcome to New Members
Of particular importance is the use of the “Search” function. You should do searches in blogs, forums, discussions for answers in previously posted threads BEFORE adding a NEW blog/discussion. Finally, it takes time to learn how to use this site. Be patient. Check your page & status box often.
Best of luck, BunkerBee and AbbyblueOK (from the New Moms Stop Here Group)
