Thanks for the welcome. It has been very encouraging to have this site to express my concerns. My friends are a constent support but it feels better when you meet a mother that really knows first hand of the jitters.
Thank you for the ticket info. I have been thinking about him all day. I spoke to his dad last night for a few minutes.
He is willing to forward any info he gets about j.
I am so glad I checked out this site I really need all the support I can get. I didn't think it would effect me so.
Hi! Boy! do I have questions! Jbird texted me for the last time about 2 hours ago. said his plane landed safely.
Since he left form his dads in Texas...I don't think I will be getting any of the info that everyone talks about recieving.(ie: phone calls, box, or pir details. ) I WILL be attending PIR. And so will many others from my side of his family. Where do I get details? Birds recruiter? He is a friend of birds dad. I just want to keep up with my son.
Pat--did you know you can right click the link on the Indiana Moms page and then just paste it into the Hoosiers you are welcoming? That way they have a direct hit to your page.
Will be in Carmel tomorrow...first time since my Mom's funeral services. I'm looking forward to seeing my family--even though we have been together at our son's wedding in S. Carolina, and nephew's in California. I have now traveled from coast to coast!
Have a great Thanksgiving.
I'm still here! Just taking things easy since the surgery. I'm doing great by the way... still getting in/out of chairs slowly and delicately. No driving for another week, but Rhonda said she'd pick me up for Westies next Monday. I'm really looking forward to seeing ya'll again! Hugs, k.
Pat, my friend is Sharon from San Francisco. Her son is home until Oct 17, then going to Guam. It does seem like a coincidence. I don't think he has been assigned a boat yet. My son is out on deployment. They were in Guam for 5-6 days maybe. He did go sight seeing. He worked mostly since he is the junior officer. I am going to pm you and Sharon, although she hasn't been on this site for awhile. I'll call her by land line phone too. She and I both live in the Northern California Bay Area. Thanks.
G-U-A-M?!!!!... Oh, crap! Well, I know Andrew's happy to get around to being a "real" sailor and practicing his nuke stuff. But, does it have to be so far away?! Of course we'll miss you lots. Don't tear a rotator cuff with all the hugging! Give him a good one for me too, k.

Thank you Pat! The Boot Camp group is on my agenda. I have read so many of the comments ~ now I will be participating.
Thanks for the update... I'm putting a card in the mail today. Would you (or me?) to put a little note on the Indiana Moms page? If not, that's ok. Hugs to all, k.
Hi Pat,
Thanks so much for the information. I really appreciate it. My focus has been on the bootcamp site but since PIR is in a couple of weeks I'll have to move my focus to Nuke Moms and keep up to date. If you don't mind, you'll probably be hearing from me a lot more. Thanks again!!!
Hey, girlfriend! Are you coming to dinner on Monday? I don't know if you saw my post on the event, but if you'd like to stay over at my place Monday night, you can... don't know if that helps or not.
And did Leslie's boy finally get home? Or about to? Hugs! k.

Funny about that swine flu profile... the two kids I know who have it are 16 and 21; both very fit, trim, active young guys. Go figure! Hugs, k.
