Wow it's crazy that you're originally from NYS! I'm originally from Geneseo, so we're both from SUNY towns which is cool.

Sorry I have been so bad about responding to your wall posts. I log into this site tons but I can't remember to check my wall for some reason.

I'm going to send you a message so I can talk more detailed without worrying about all of my info being on the internet ok?

Happy Holidays to you, too!! Hope those kids are keeping you busy. :)

I know my niece and nephew are keeping me up and running.

My niece has claimed Aaron as her boyfriend. Anytime he walks in the door she yells, "My boyfriends here! My boyfriends here!" Awesome. I have major competition with a two year old!

I hate getting sick. Ugh. Yuk. Since we had our flu shots, at least we won't get that. BTW, has you mother in law joined the SF group yet? Or maybe she would rather just get the info from you.

My younger son attended the United States Military Academy, West Point (next to Highland Falls, NY) for two years but he is totally incompatible with the military. He is studying what he wants now and
would like to make tons on of money in the future. He like intelligent
women who look like Jessica Alba or Reese Witherspoon or the girl in
Smallville (what an idiot! but he is young). He plays the guitar and
sax. A wonderful golfer. Excellent chess player. He has even learned to
cook a few dishes (really into eating healthy and running). Unlike his
mother, he eats and stays skinny - just under 5'11" and 150 lbs (but has
to keep his calorie intact up to stay at that). Tell your friend to
never mind him because the marriage arrangement comes with a great MIL
who will treat her like a princess :)  Going back to bed. Night night.

My sailor is home! But spending time with his girlfriend which is OK. Hope he pops the big question. :) Younger son (home from college) gave me his cold. He is 22 studying petroleum engineering at the University of Oklahoma. Don't hesitate to introduce to any hot women you may know in OK. How are you holding up?

Crap, maybe tomorrow. If not, then for sure on Monday... maybe!!! I see you have a husband, correct? I'll get the hand of this sooner than later, hopefully!

Hi Sprack!  So you have a fiancee in boot camp? I am missing my son, and this empty nest is feeling so empty!  I hope you are having a good Christmas! I know it must be hard so hard to be without your love! I hope to get the form letter today and will hopefully hook up with the other people once I have the PIR date for sure.  I know that Ship 03 is under one roof and eats, and trains together... I think!  TTYL, Renee

Merry Christmas, Sprack!  So glad you found N4M to support you until you can join your join your sailor.  Time does pass.  Check my page to see a countdown clock you can download to your site.  You can decorate it anyway you wish.  It was fun and it is very helpful to see how the days melt into one another.  Bless you.

Sprack!!! Ship03, Div 083. HI!  I started a group, but no one joined LOL. I joined the PIR 2/18 group, and am hoping to get the form letter any day. Then we will know, right? I hope so. I am recovering from surgery so I am home all the time. I will check on you tomorrow! Thank you for writing. I'm excited to talk to you. Good night!

I'm keeping as busy as I can too. I am so excited for Charleston.  I'm excited for the warm weather and just excited to be living down there with my husband. Knowing I'll be living there is going to get me through the next few weeks. Are you excited for SC?

Christmas will be semi-hard but we already celebrated it together and I'm going to Christmas with my family and siblings so that will be fun.  I keep thinking that one positive about having him gone for Christmas is that I don't have to split Christmas between my family and his--I get my family all weekend ;)

How has your first week been? Mine has been surprisingly OK. It is hard at times but overall it has gone by fairly quickly for me. I hope you're enjoying celebrating the "1 week down" mark a much as I am.

Welcome to NavyforMoms (wives too!).  I live in Oakland, CA.  My son's graduation from bootcamp is 1/21/2011.  It seems overwhelming at first but this too will pass.  Obviously we all miss them.  Tell it to us and not to him.  He is very busy right now.  I will be going to the 1/9/2011 meet and greet Valentine signing and pizza in Petaluma.  If you are interested we could go together.  Yes, Livermore is quite a ways from Petaluma but know you are so very welcome to come be with us signing Valentines that will be sent to sailors.
