Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

All Hands Magazine's full length documentary "Making a Sailor": This video follows four recruits through Boot Camp in the spring of 2018 who were assigned to DIV 229, an integrated division, which had PIR on 05/25/2018.
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video:"Importance of Navy OPSEC."
Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass isno longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

I've been following your story about your son and I am sorry to hear that he is being separated. He sounds like a fine young man and I am sure better things will come along for him. Give him a big hug for me and and a big thank you for trying! Enjoy the holidays.....
I hope and pray that you will both pray it, and that you will find it a blessing as the Lord helps your son to pass ALL of his tests with superior grades and blesses him with the favor of ALL of his superiors.
Your poor son will probably roll his eyes when he sees how long the prayer is ;)

This prayer is written as a decree. Our pastor in Mobile, AL (we now live in Colorado), wrote a very good book called The Decree of Esther. It's a powerful way of praying. The prayer is based on Scriptures, and I have the Scriptures noted.
One of our sons is severely dyslexic. This prayer got him through HS and college with the help of the Lord blessing him with success.
It's a long prayer, but is a blessing to your child.

Join Ship 5 Moms(Formerly Ship 17) and see FAQ about SEPS and http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/ship5/index.asp for more information on SEPS.
You may want to make changes 3 and 4 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile).

Join Cryptology ~ CTI ~ CTM ~ CTN ~ CTR ~ CTT ~. Since those are Spook ratings, the information within the Page, OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes To Your Profile), will be important for you. What is your SR's rating (job/specialty) going to be? There is additional info I can give you.
Join fit program. What does ??? mean? (A Guide to Navy Abbreviations and Terminology) and Battle Stations-21 (BST) have some more info on FIT. He may pass before PIR and be able to have BST and PIR on time. If he doesn't pass before his PIR then he will not have a PIR and will go straight to "A" School when it can be arranged after his BST.
