I got my fiance's box on Tuesday. Couldn't wait for it!! Anyway, I got his address from his recruiter. I'm still waiting for his form letter. Don't know if he's sending it to me, or to his mom. If he's sending it to me, I hope it comes today, or some time early next week. I've sent him a letter everyday since he left. Hopefully he has gotten them. I also sent him a calling card so he could call me. Can't wait to hear his voice. Can't wait to receive a letter from him. Just keep writing your letters. When you get his address, send them! Write him a lot. He'll like that :) I'm here if you need me.

Hi Frandrea, You have been accepted in the group "MAS We Ship Love". This is where we keep the addresses for the groups we adopt through "Molly's Adopt A Sailor" so you should join "Molly's" too. If you go to Molly's home page, click on the discussion forum at the top of the page and then click "View all". There is a lot of information in "Are you new to Molly's Adopt A Sailor?". We are glad you have joined us and don't hesitate to send me a message with questions. Pat

I went with him to MEPS and was able to watch him get sworn in, than I went to the airport and waited 6 hours with him and the 5 other guys that was leaving with him. When we said goodbye I started to tear up a little bit but quickly turned away and went on my way. I didn't wait for the plane to take off because I didn't want to be an emotional wreck at the airport. By the time I got to my car I was okay, and started on my 2 hour drive back to my town. I picked up my dog from a friends, and drove home. I even thought to myself "this isn't that bad" and finally later that night I was sitting on my couch with my dog and realized oh my gosh.. I'm going to be alone every night for the next several nights, and I lost it. Andrea, I was such a bawl bag! Finally, the crying stopped and I got the "I'm here" phone call from him, and he asked me "Are you okay?" And I lost it again, he had about 2 seconds to shuffle me off the phone and later he apologized lol. It wasn't his fault, that's the way the Navy is. For the next few weeks it was the hardest, and than I found this site and it was like an angel guided me to it. Although sometimes I get sad, and yes I do cry, it doesn't hurt as bad as it did when he first left. It's definitely going to be a hard road, but I know that it's the right choice we made for us and our future family.

Always know that you have a whole support system with this site! It's okay to vent to us, and you're doing the right thing by letting him think you're okay. He needs strength to make the next 8 weeks go by smoothly. Vent to me, to us on here, try not to him. :)
