FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

When I spoke to my son on Saturday he told me that on Sunday they would be able to write and send out letters..I have sent him letters, cards, but still have not received a letter from him. Only the form letter. with his writing on it.. Still wanting to know more of what he is going through at boot camp.  I am pretty sure you want to know the same thing. So many thing run through you mind not know what is going on with them.. Not being in the constant communication with them.. It is really hard.....

Good evening ljones1501, I have not received a letter or a phone call!!!! I was happy for all of you that did get calls but it also made me sad that my SR did not call!!! Still stalking the postman, waiting on a PERSONAL LETTER from him, I took three letters to the post office today and I've got another one ready to be mailed in the morning!!!! What ship/division is your SR in?

I think I've become a POSTAL STALKER!!! I do a lot of reading here and this is a very helpful site!!! According to the recruiter my son is on ship 09 MISSING HIM LIKE CRAZY!!!

Good morning, my son also left on the 17th and I got his BOX on Tuesday. Still have not received the LETTER!!! I was able to call my SR's recruiter on yesterday to get his mailing address and he informed me that with no set backs (PRAYING) his graduation date is set for June 14.
