Thanks, Tiffany. My son arrived at Great Lakes Tuesday after midnight; i received the "I'm here" call. I know he will be going to nuke school after boot camp. Just really anxious to hear from him again.
Thanks for the welcome. My son did his PIR a week ago and is in Pensacola for A school (AM). I have already started connecting with other moms and am excited to talk to moms who understand how proud I am of my son! I look forward to getting to hear more about other people's kids and more about what to expect as my son's careers continues to progress!
Thank you Tiffany for the welcome, My son is already located on School A, in San Antonio, Texas. He already ended boot camp and was hard for him and for me and family. Now I can communicate with him, thank you God!! But still the worries, Thank you for the support, I will explore the site and learn how it works and I feel happy that I can talk with other Moms that are passing by the same feelings and have questions like me. :)
I believe jaylen is going to fort Sam Houston after basic. He is going to be a corpsman? Is anyone else recruit heading to San Antonio? We are in indianapolis. Thanks Paula (Jaylen' mom)
Thank you so much... Jaylen left on Tuesday. It seems so strange him not being here after 19 years. I can't wait to find out his address and how he is doing. PaulA
Thank you for your support. I am trying to join a few groups that pertain to me. I know that my daughter is going to Nuke school in Charleston SC after boot camp. That's all I know for now. As time goes by I should have more information and be able to meet others who have similar situations....
Thank you Tiffany for the warm welcome! My aunt informed me of this forum, she herself is a Navy mom. I look forward to sharing our upcoming journey with other Navy families. I will have to admit I have been tearful today knowing Josh is leaving on Sunday for bootcamp. But I know I will be able to count on all of you to help me through this amazing chapter of our lives.

Not wanting to do/say anything inappropriate, what is the best way to find people that have/going to have a child in the same type of job as my child
Thank you for all of the helpful information. I am sure I will spend lots of hours on this site. There is so much to learn.
