Hello -

I'm new to the site, my son leaves for BC on May 10th and I know he will receive letters from friends and family so I would love to provide that for someone that doesn't have the support.

We are in the beginning stages of signing up.  He will be graduating in June from high school.  So we will take it from there.  Where is your Sailor located at in Texas?

Hi, Thank you for the note. Please provide me with a name or two and I would be happy to write letters. My daughter says that getting her daily emails kept her going during her BC.

Thanks for the info Felicia.  I'm not going to get my hopes up about anything until we hear from my nephew for confirmation.  On the facebook page for U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command a post was left on March 18th which said "Barring further delays, on April 17, hospital corps school will convene its last HM "A" school class in Great Lakes and will graduate sometimes in July.  After April 17, all sailors going to HM "A" school will go to San Antonio, TX.  So I don't have a clue lol.  Texas of course is what I'm wishing for, but if it's Great Lakes then Great Lakes it is.  If & when I hear anything else I'll be sure to let you know.

Hey Hunters Mom,

There is a blog that I did on the SA MA goup page, look up top where it says info about graduaton at Lackland. Liberty will depend on where he is going after A school. Some had to leave that afternoon, some left the next morning early. Our son was staying in SA for Military Working Dog school so he stayed there. Get your pass into the base the night before graduation this wil help you the morning of. Let me know if you have any more questions. I will be there May 12 for his graduation on May 13 good luck to you !!

Good evening Hunters_Mom,

My nephew should be going to A school in San Antonio if everything I'm reading is correct.  He is going into corpsman.  His PIR is May 6th.  San Antonio would be awesome if this is where he is going - my mom's entire family lives in San Antonio and it's only a 7 hour drive from home.  Any way I can help with cheering up some SR's I am ready to start.  Our family has always been very close and I mail my nephew everyday and just can't thinking there are some that aren't getting anything - or very little.

Hey Hunters Mom,

My son Graduated A school In San Antonio last month. He stayed on there because he is doing the Military Working Dog Program now. If you can go to this graduation there  do so. It is very simple but very enjoyable. NO THE CRAZY that we went through at BC. They are very kind and let you take all kinds of pics and come up on the stage etc. My sons class was only like 31 so it was small. If you have your Sons address go ahead and mail him a small bottle of Baby Shampoo, this will help when he is washing the OC Spray off his face. You can pull up a Week by week schedule to see what he is doing, and he should know his grad date now also. Good luck and if I can help let me know. I will be going there on May 13 for my Sons graduation from MWD program.

Anita
