Very COOL...Seems like a busy life. How long has "new" hubby been in the Army? How long do you plan on being in Ft. Bragg??? Wow, college and boot camp!! good luck! thats what shawn did, finished A school then got married, well when he got his orders. Shawn is currently working on his 5 year plan, changes daily, lol...but knows the military will offer security, just "exploring" his options! LOL
Shawn loves it too...and his Chief thinks highly of him and Shawn thinks highly of the chief, so that makes life a bit nicer in the Navy. so YOU...how long has Hubby been in the Army. You must lead an interesting life or at least thats the impression that I get from military families..duty stations..meeting all kinds of people! So where are you originally from?♥
sorry i didn't put 2 +2 together..sorry...so how is CJ doing? liking his rate? Shawn is really liking his job, so far. Shawn will also test for 3rd class in the next month or so! Unbelievable, I/ we get so busy in life and also age catchs up and I just plain forget, sorry about that!!! I guess when I received your email at the adoptasailor email...I just didn't recongize the "full name" and you didn't say a thing, so I just "assumed" you got the info about MAS from FB or the website....I do know better then to ASSUME....♥LOL
OMG..is this YOU DONNA>..I was chatting with Kimberly last nite, son on Makin Island and asked "if" she knew you...and also asked if you are a member on here...so I went searching...and OMG...I know who you are>>>I am LMAO..OMG..6degrees of separation!!!! ♥....
Shawn was home the next day! but in order for that to happen the sailor must have hard orders.....orders in hand
this is GREAT news sooooooooooo happy for you...enjoy the homecoming REALLY
Now...my son is deployed at the moment and will back on dry land sometime in the spring...its harder then I thought....
its all a learning experience, that makes us stronger.. I will be there when the next navy mom fall to mush from deployment
xooxoxoxxo
they get their orders while in A school...towards the end...my son got his about 2-3 weeks before he was done..But some from what I have read..get them on the day they finish A school...so tell him to be prepared.
How does your sailor know where he will be stationed?
Oh and as for Shawn....He *absoultely LOVES* his job...he says
mom it is the *coolest* job he loves his shipmates and has already made some *real* life long buddies...
EN don't only work on the engines, there are alot of areas of the ship that they maintain, which keeps the job interesting.
I still can't believe I met someone that has a sailor that is an EN.
I have been on this website since late Feb..08 and you are the first one...how cool....let me know if there are any questions that your sailor wants answered...Shawn loves giving info.
xoxoxox
HEy got your name from Molly, heard you have a sailor in A school and EN...OH how great...
My son Shawn is currently in Everret Washington...USS Rodney M. Davis...and is an EN...ask away....this is so cool to find another Snipe as well as an EN..cool
I think they are just very focused on finishing boot camp now. I'm doing okay but getting antsy to see him. It hard to stay focused for some reason! That's a great idea to have friends write encouraging words to them, you are very thoughtful. A lot of my friends here at the office wrote notes in cards I sent to him. I think just knowing we are behind them in this is helping them. I saw a comment on another groups' link that the kids were told no more phone calls until after Battlestations. That makes sense! We want them to do well. When will you get to see Josh when he is in CT?
I think the flags were for PT and for their cleanliness, inspections maybe? I was looking around to see if something sounded like what he said. I know he said they were designing the div flag.
Dear Momma Talbott:
Hello and Welcome to N4M’s!
My name is Catherine the Admin and I’m glad you’ve joined us. As you start exploring you will see a great amount of chatter (IE: knowledge, support, advice, etc.) on our site (in our blogs, forums, and videos.) Before you add your point of view (POV) or ask questions, I want to share some ground rules with you. Here they are:
1) Please show respect at all times for all who belong to this community. (I like to say- Keep it civil… and everybody love everybody!)
2) For security, please do not reveal the current location of your Sailor or Officer.
3) Remember that this community is public, so anything you post (about yourself, your child or someone else) can be seen by anyone.
4) This site is moderated, so inappropriate content will be removed, like anything vulgar, hateful, violent, racist or otherwise obnoxious or illegal.
5) We may remove anything deemed inappropriate or inaccurate.
6) Members who solicit, advertise products, spam or flood on this site will be asked to walk the plank. Seriously.
7) DON'T SHOUT! Writing in capital letters means you're screaming in the digital world. That's not nice. So to emphasize a word, place *asterisks* on either side.
8) Let’s be tidy. Before beginning a new topic in the Forums, try searching at the top right of your screen to see if the subject has been addressed already. AKA- Be BEST friends with the search button!
9) Please don’t send the site's administrator (that’s me!) questions about the Navy. That’s what the Forums and your local recruiter are for. This site's administrators are NOT members of the U.S. Navy. They're here to keep the topics organized but cannot provide any Navy-related answers, nor can they respond to personal questions. (And trust me, Navy Moms answer quicker and better than I ever could)
10) Feel free to contact me with suggestions or comments about this site’s functionality.
Okay, so those are the house rules. Time to connect with other Navy moms!
I look forward to reading more about you!
Sincerely, Catherine
