OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. There are now tickets issued, and there are no longer parking passes for PIR.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Be sure to make the changes below.

JudyF...h, I see you have changed your Username so that it no longer contains your last name; you also need to change the URL to this page. Make change 2 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes change to Your Profile) (clickable link) to take care of that. (If you are using a Smart phone, you will need to switch to Desktop View to make this change.)

Also make change 3 while you are there so that this page is no longer open to EVERYONE (Anyone) with access to the web.

There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.

Another change that I recommend that is mentioned in change 1 is to change the ZIP Code to one that is not easily associated with you or your loved one.

You may want to join Moms of Officers. Where is he stationed (what vessel, if one)? There may be groups I can direct you to.

Aackkkk.  Silly me was thinking 23 and typing 29.  You are right it was suggested the 23rd.  If I can put my 2 cents in I would say southern or eastern side of the Cities.  Poor Richards Common House in Bloomington, Chili's in Shakopee, Roasted Pear in Apple Valley, These are just the places I know of and have eaten at.

JJ hope to see you soon.  I am putting 7/29 on my calendar for lunch.  I need to meet a friend in Woodbury later that day so hoping somewhere between here and there will work to eat.
