Kaitsmom,

I see you recently joined the Moms of Daughters 2 group and I want to welcome you!!  I'm glad you found us. So your daughter is in boot camp now? Come join the chat in our group - there is usually someone on every day. We are a friendly, caring group of moms who have daughters in all stages of Navy life - from newbies to those whose daughters have been in for several years - from officer to enlisted!!! We support all our sailor girls and each other as well. Not just during the bootcamp days but the weeks and months following, as they go off to school, first duty station, or first deployment.  Let us support you when you're missing her, lend an ear when you need to vent, and celebrate with you when you want to brag!!  We look forward to getting to know you and your sailor!! Again, Welcome Aboard!!!!

Yes it's hard. Hard to believe it's not even been a full week and it seems like weeks gone since the plane took off. I feel better when I think of how this is what my son wanted and the future ahead for him. When the plane took off I could feel his excitement and I still do. Each day brings them closer to their goal their future. Keep in touch. We can do it day by day as well.
