OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Your PIR Debriefing Discussion is great. You have done a wonderful job. There is so much good information that is lost because the site in inherently not organized for the purpose of disseminating information. Abby and I are admin for New Moms Stop Here group. We are reorganizing the front page of the group's site to give new members a "reference hand book" to other sites/discussions/links for more detail info. Your discussion is definitely one of the links we will add. Thank you for doing this.

How are you doing this evening? No one in our ship/div has heard anything. Some of the others know their battlestations date already.
