Thought I would respond here on your page instead. Actually you're not "on" the PIR group. You have to join it to be on it and to be able to post on there and talk with the other members. Unless you mean you are just reading the posts. Glad you have the FB page...just didn't want you to miss out with the rest of the TG members on here.
I know. This web-site is pretty confusing! Haha. What I did was click the, "My Page" link up top & go from there. & on your page it'll show the group, click that, scroll down & find our Div ;-) You poor thing. Well yes, I messaged you on your regular fb b/c I seen you had commented the Recruit Training Command page. I'll copy & paste so you have it here & on FB! :-)
Hey Lee Ann! We kept in touch on Navy For Moms & another Mom got on there this morning saying her daughter called last night in the same ship/div as OUR loved ones. She said that the division itself has not earned their writing privileges yet! I saw your post on Recruit Training Command, so I thought I'd send you a message since we're not supposed to post too much info on that page! Hope this helps. Sucks though!
& the 900 divisions means a number of things, but our friend who is in the Navy told us that it means "elite". My husband scored high on the asvab, & he's 6'4. I also heard it was for taller b/c they perform more? Idk that's what our friend said who is in his 5th year of being a Sailor.
That's great she has so much support! I heard it from a friend of ours who is already in the Navy! He's told my Husband important stuff to know before he went. He said that 900 divisions get treated a little differently, which scared me at first, but he said, "No Lena it's a good thing, not bad" .. so I felt relieved! :) Did your daughter score high on her ASVAB? & I also heard 900 Divisions are normally the taller ones. Anyone that plays an instrument or good at it & most the men hold the flags! I heard too that it could be b/c they test them when they first get there & they pay attention to detail, which is good. It's pretty awesome! So I'm happy my SR is in 915! :) & Yeah, I understand.. My Husband & I have both been through that stage. We're both 26 now :) He joined a little late, but now his mind is on straight you know.
Hey! I actually got my Husband's address the same week he left. He left the 3rd too, so I've literally been writing him since. Still no mail yet, I hope something soon to keep my spirits up you know. Let me know if you get one soon too! ;-) You know I've heard that the 900 divisions are for the "Elite", so that's pretty awesome! I bet you're so proud! Please keep in touch! I love sites like these to keep me sane!
