OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. There are now tickets issued, and there are no longer parking passes for PIR.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Hi Jane, I see that your son will soon be at Lackland for A School. You may want to join San Antonio MA's. Blessings to you and yours.

Thank you so much for writing Jane! I think I told you that my son is div 818 so they are both spec. ops. I assume. He has been at GL for 11 days now & no form letter yet, but from what I read here his PIR date should be 9/2. I just really want to start making our plans to go out there but I wont until that "official form letter" gets here. Take Care & thank's again! Kelly*
