Oh really? What part of Michigan? Hopefully we will meet. My son is experiencing problems with his knee so we're hoping he can get through the pain and graduate on time :) No news is good news, so we're still going strong

Hi Jaz,

Thanks for adding me as a friend. I sure is nice to meet someone feeling the same way I am right now. We received our first call from Tim on Sunday. We haven't got any mail from him yet, but his girlfriend got three letters today. Maybe ours will come tomorrow. I think my son is really home sick... I hope he's okay.

My son(Andrew) is also ship 12 division 260, we just made our reservations for pir 7/30/10 at the holiday inn. Has there been a meet and greet set up for the families to meet. We are driving in from PA. I havent stopped crying since he left 6/8/10. We got the 30 second call that he was safe, then the I have to go. We were blessed he did call us sunday, probably the best fathers day present our family got he sounded exhausted but good. He still hasn't received any of our letters and we haven't received any of his. One thing he did stress was to please keep the letters coming. Hope to hear from you soon.

He needed to know where his dad and I were born? He already knew, I guess he needed to confirm it. He said he was just trying to stay in the middle and not bring in attention to himself and so far he is doing better than most. Josh is a middle child and always a peace maker. I am from Manistee- all my family is there. My husband is from California but in the last couple of years his family is migrating to Michigan. He has alot of relatives in Ravenna. Who knows maybe someday I can convince him to move, although by that time we may be to old to shovel snow. LOL
