OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. There are now tickets issued, and there are no longer parking passes for PIR.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

From boot camp he was originally a Saturday departure, but was changed to Sunday departure to Great Lakes. From what he tells me he will get to come home for a week or 2 after he finishes "A" school which will be some time in August I believe.

And to tell you the truth, I am not sure what "hell week" is. Apparently it is lots of training or testing or both!

Welcome, you may want to consider changing your Username so that it does not contain your last name, especially if it is the same as your Recruit's, and maybe even if it is not.  I hope you find lots of support here and the answers to any questions you have.  If I can be of any help, please let me know.
