OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Events

**UPDATE - 2020**

Due to COVID there is no public PIR. The graduations are on Thursday, and the video of the graduation is posted on RTC's FaceBook on Friday at approx 3pm. Please keep in mind that a division may need to complete additional quarantine during training which will delay their graduation.

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

G'sMom,

I see you joined the Moms of Daughters 2 group and I want to welcome you!!!  We are a friendly, caring group of moms always willing to listen and support.  I'm glad you already  jumped in and joined our chat and introduced yourself!!  I see you are new to N4Ms and your daughter is in bootcamp now!  We like to discuss everything from our sailors to our jobs, weather, whatever.  It's also a great place if you want to yell, scream, vent, cry - - there is no judgment involved!!!  Brag about your sailor but also tell us when you are hurting because you miss her so!!!  We are all in different phases of our daughter's Naval careers ~ from newbies to those who have been in for a couple years!!  Looking forward to getting to know you and your sailor!!  Again, Welcome Aboard!!!!

Hi Gabby's Mom, my son reported to GL 4-12-11 and I have his address, ship, and division number because he has a great recruiter who keeps us updated.  (I actually stopped there Friday and he had the information as promised).  When I first joined this site, I had no idea why everyone was talking about ships since BC doesn't take place on a ship!  Again, completely clueless.  Spend as much time as you can reading, listening, and learning to these mothers with experience, they will cry and laugh with you.  Please don't hesitate to ask questions, we're all learning together!
