Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I too am experiencing the same feelings of grief. My daughter left for boot camp Monday. I am struggling to find a new normal. Although I know that this the best for her and support her decision it's been hard and I feel like I'm lost, broken and empty. I don't know about you but the flag took on a whole new meaning now ...it's my child. I hope that this site will help me through this new transition in being a navy mom.

Hello all, my son is leaving tomorrow from san diego. he is sleeping in his room right now, which will be the last time until I don't know when. Before he went to bed he said he was nervous, anxious, excited but most of all sad to leave. I am very proud of him but I don't want my baby to leave. I am going to miss him so much.

Good afternoon, my son is leaving for boot camp tomorrow and I can't stop crying. I had known for months the day he was leaving, however yesterday I took my son to Navy FCU and reality hit me!!! My baby is leaving!! I know I have to be strong tomorrow when he gets sworn in. I'm so proud of him, however I will miss him so much. Is this normal??? Any suggestions, I don't want to cry tomorrow and worry my son : (

My son leaves for Boot Camp one week from today....I am soaking him up like a sponge - enjoying every moment with him. There will be quite a large gap in my life - I am praying that this site will fill a portion of that gap.

My son left for bc a few days ago. His sister couldn't wait to get his room. Lol I missed his first call but he spoke to his dad. I miss him so much. I am so proud. But I want him to be proud of himself. Can't wait to see him in his uniform.

My son called at 1:42am he made it to the Great Lakes. I know he will do well. I will have him in my prayers always. Looking forward to hearing from him in 2weeks. I love him so much.
