OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

The February adoption is Air Force in Africa consisting of 24 males. Due to OPSEC restrictions, our Contact could not share what this group does. They live in tents and have electricity. Also they have a microwave and a refrigerator. They do have access to phones and the internet, so no phone cards are needed.

Pillowcases are a "GO" BUT due to an overflow from last month, they are covered!

Wish List:

Coffee (ground or instant)

Cookies

Beef jerky

Granola bars

Ramen noodles

Macaroni & cheese cups

Small games

Things to do on their down time (ie footballs, etc.)

Shipping will be February 20 to 23.

Thanks, Pat.  Do you think this logo represents this group?  I always try to add a picture of the ship or a logo of some type on my poster and newsletter.

As the air component of USAFRICOM, U.S. Air Forces Africa (AFAFRICA) conducts sustained security engagement and operations to promote air safety, security, and development in Africa.

Tamme, Our Contact was pretty tight-lipped! But they are Air Force in Africa so pretty sure this would work!

I'm in! I also have the Pie Face game and the Watch Ya Mouth game with extra mouth pieces I can send if that's something they might like?

Sounds good!

I can send a box of snacks

Thank you so much!!

All set to be picked up by the post office tomorrow morning. Thanks to the donations from Chicago Navy Moms, St. Francis de Sales church, 2 Carol Stream elementary schools, the people of Milwaukee and our anonymous donor who sends us toiletries!

Hi Pat!  I have Ramen Noodles, Granola bars, Instant Oatmeal but can't find address!

You are a member of "MAS We Ship Love" so you should be able to access the address. If you can't find it, let me know!

Thank you so much for contributing!! Pat

So sorry for the panic "I can't find it" note.  I finally found what I needed!  Sent box off today!  Thanks!

Glad you found it! Thanks!
