Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

USS Carter Hall (LSD-50) is a Harpers Ferry-Class dock landing ship. The mission of a Landing Ship Dock is to transport and launch amphibious craft, vehicles, crews, and embarked personnel in an amphibious assault.

We received adoptions requests from two groups on this ship. Due to logistics on the ship, we will have to ship to two addresses.

Group #1 - 40 males & 5 females - They do have access to a microwave but no refrigeration.

Pillowcases are a GO!

Wish List: Macaroni & cheese cups, Ramen noodles, cookies, beef jerky, sunflower seeds, drink sticks, granola bars, socks (black & white), hand sanitizer, soap, Febreez,and small board games.

Group #2 - 10 males & 3 females - They have access to a microwave and refrigeration.

Pillowcases are NOT allowed for them.

Wish List: Coffee (ground and instant), granola bars, beef jerky, cookies, sunflower seeds, drink sticks, body wash, shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, and sunscreen.

Shipping will be May 22 to 25.

Mom and I are in we have pillowcases if you need them and I picked up a case of sunflower seeds more than enough for all to have some. Also have shampoo and body wash

Kim I think I have about 15 / 20 that are done.We are working on another 5 that should be done by the weekend. We do some every day. It makes mom happy to be helping. I can do 20 if you need more or less let me know

How is the pillowcase count coming along? I can send 4-5 if needed.
I just had the last 5 promised on Facebook. We have a big adoption coming up and we will need some for that!

I have 26 boxes ready to be shipped to the USS Carter Hall.  Snacks, coffee, toiletries, mac & cheese.

A  big thank you to the Connecticut  Girl Scout Council for donating 12 cases of cookies.
