For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Missing my daughter
She left for boot camp on 3/27/17. I did receive the initial call that she made it. Her voice sounded different. Very serious and scripted. I have also received her box. I still haven't received the form letter but have been writing her letters everyday so I'm ready to get her address. I'm a little bit freaked out about not sending a calling card with her. I live in a rural area and so far have not been able to locate a calling card to send. Does anyone have suggestions?

Hi ladies, my daughter left 3/15/17 division 151. I received letters like 6 at one time about 2nd week. She was crying herself to sleep everynight and had enough. Then i received a call last Sat. She was crying before i answered. We got her a,650 min calling card and activated it bc yes it can take up to 10 min doing so just send a lil note that its,ready to use. We also sent ger stamps. I know she can purchase at exchange but just, wanna make it easier on her. She had passed her fitness, materials & uniform inspection,swim and first written. She was worried about test #2 hopefully it went well. She kept saying she loved and missed me so much. We all hv to keep them strong, they are being broken down to be built back up!! Im so happy to hv found this site and different groups. I print quotes weekly on Pinterest about not quitting and strength and send them!!! They will make it and they are God's children he's watching them!!!

There is another mom on this group 1995Mom, and her daughter is in Ship11/Div 146. You need to look her up, your daughters are in sister divisions and both graduate the same day!!!!

My daughter left the same day yours did. Have you heard from her yet? We haven't we did receive her box and the info. letter but no mail or calls. -

My daughter left on the same day as yours. That first phone call was very hard. You feel so helpless. I received my box shortly after that by FedEx. Her letter came the next week. It took me a month of her being in bootcamp to stop going into her room just to smell her clothes. How's your recruit doing these days? I never thought that we would write so many letters to each other. She wrote me about how much she doesn't like Boot Camp, how much she misses us and how sad she is to see recruits in her unit get ASMO'd. ( I'm still learning about these abbreviations and meanings).

She is doing pretty good. She was sick this past week with fever and vomiting. Her last run is scheduled for 4:30 am in the morning. Once she passes that she just has her last written test and then battle stations. Overall I think she has done really well. I'm very proud of her. She is AROC over her division. (159)
