Another day another empty mailbox. Got box last week still waiting on FORM. I do understand that no news is good news and I haven't received any phone calls except the first hurried one. But hey I am collecting dust on my letters to be sent. Anyone else in same boat??? My SR was in the June 13 group

I would be okay with his voice instead of a letter bc my son isn't a writer
Hang in there! It seems like forever but you will get that letter and the occasional phone call. Usually just when you think you can't bear it another day. Once you have the address, I would recommend sending a newspaper to your sailor. Even if they never showed an interest in news before, they will now. They are completely isolated from the world outside. We sent newspapers all the time to our son and they were worth gold. They were read by everyone and traded back and forth thru the entire RTC.
They don't give them any outside news at all. He was in boot during the Paris attacks and they wouldn't tell them why the flags were at half mast. The news papers helped them feel connected.
Here's to another day of the Mailbox Game..... who will win.... the yes or the no team. Don't take this the wrong way Ladies but feels good I'm not only one waiting..... makes the mail exciting
My pumpkin left on the 15th, got the late night phone and it only lasted about 5 seconds. I am stalking the mailman for any news, he must think that i am on drugs or something. I am anxious to receive his smelly box. I know that it will smell awful but I don't care. i just want to receive something but from all your comments it looks like I have a long wait ahead of me. It's comforting to know that I am not alone in the waiting...and waiting...waiting
I got my letter on Monday. You should get yours soon. August 4th graduation for my son.
