Hello Proudmama just want to say, Hang in there. It's never easy to watch our kids start their own Journey. Hopefully you will receive your form letter in the next day or two. Trust me it gets better as the weeks go by. My Son is on week number 5 now. I miss him but i'm feeling stronger each day.

Thank you so much for responding. I found this site and thought Wow I am definitely not the only mom going through this.. I pray i get something from him soon..

I am waiting for that pre printed letter myself.

I came home today to my sons letter and his form letter.. He said boot camp sucks but its ok.. And he misses me so much.. I am so happy I finally received a letter but it doesnt change the miss...

I hear ya about missing your "baby"!  :-(  I miss mine so much!  We have never been apart this long.  His brother and I feel like our triangle has a missing side :-(

BUT!  I got a call this morning at 5.30am!  He sounded so mature!  We were able to speak for about 20 minutes.  I nearly hung up on him:  I did not recognize his voice at all!

Oh wow a phone call. What I wouldnt do for one of those. I am so happy for you. When did he leave?
