Hello everyone. So excited because my daughter just shipped out to boot camp today. My son began his journey in October 2015. Well I know some things have changed since then plus with it being my daughter this time, I’m not sure what to expect or how to try and figure out when her PIR might be. Any comments, suggestions or anything would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and look forward to heart by from everyone.

HI. My daughter shipped out today too. Where are you guys from? We’re from GA, but she shipped from Jacksonville, FL.
San Antonio, TX
You could count Fridays and that would/should/might make it March 2, 2018, but you do need to wait for the form letter to arrive to confirm the date.
I initially had that thought that for a rough guess but then I thought I remembered something about it could take females longer to group up since there are fewer and could therefore take longer to start their eight weeks. But idk if I just imagined that or not. But thank you.
I am guessing March 2nd because your recruit is female, but again wait for the form letter to be sure. It could go either way. :)
By counting 9 Fridays, PIR will most likely be 03/09/2018 for those who shipped on 01/09/2018. It could be 03/02/2018 for some if they are in a Push Division and were placed in one of the last divisions from last week. It is possible for some who arrive on the same date to have PIR a week apart. Wait on The Form Letter to know the PIR date for sure. Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will let you know what is happening and what to expect.

Check your My Page.
ATLUTDFan15, there are fewer female recruits than male recruits, so those in an Integrated division (one containing both males and females) often have additional P-Days and so those divisions may fill with those arriving at the beginning of the next week. There is no guarantee that it will go that way for your recruit. It all depends what division she is placed in. The 900 divisions for a TG will often fill on Tuesday and they are integrated divisions and usually have 9 Fridays. Wait on The Form Letter to know the PIR date for sure.
