Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

I feel exactly the same way... I'm prepared physically, emotionally ...(like I've kept saying to others) I'm not over thinking it. Over thinking only makes things worse. I'm just keeping in mind that he chosen this wonderful career, and I'm going to support him. We'll see our children in only a few short weeks and be even prouder of our Sailor.

I've been told my many mom's, to send your child in their wallet *a prepaid phone card, and *About $40 cash (Though they probably won't even use it, but just in case)
And stick a few *moleskin bandages in their wallet Incase of blisters, until they can buy their own on base.
A small photo in their wallet, or religious medal. That's about all you can do physically to be prepared. -

Thank you all! We are all in this together. Being a parent is the hardest job ever, but the most rewarding. We are now being rewarded with our child spreading their wings and showing us what a wonderful adult we have raised. We are all proud! I keep that in mind as the days grow closer to him leaving for RTC, and I'm trying hard not to over think anything! In my heart I know he will do great, he'll be happy because this is the career he chosen proudly serving our country. Be proud Mom's! You've done the best job ever!!

Samsmom, my son arrived on 1/24 and we received his Form letter this past Thursday. Hopefully you'll get it on Monday

There is a Facebook page for our PIR date. Some of them posted the letters started coming in this past Th and Fri. I am still waiting also...Hopefully Monday or this week we will get something forsure!

Hi all!!! I am new here and have no idea where to start, but this seems to be the right place. =) My son is headed out on Jan. 22nd. He's my oldest of 4 and I'm feeling both proud and anxious. Mostly proud. Looking forward to getting to know some of my fellow Navy mamas. Maybe I'll be lucky enough to meet some of you at graduation!
