OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Winksmom527 it usually takes up to 10 days. just some info someone needs to be home to receive it, they will leave a note to pick up at station. hope this helps.
What will the first day be like at BC?

It will usually arrive by FedEx within a few days, but it can take up to 2 weeks at times.

My son forgot to put our apt# so FedEx took his box back. I called and they said they would deliver it tomorrow. I can't wait because it's like getting a small piece of him.

Awww! Angella I completly know how you are feeling, I have tears in my eyes as I am typing. I felt the same way, My heart just ached for my Son. When I received the packaged, I also received his High school graduation pictures. I was crying my eyes out. It will get better, right now with no communication is the hardest part any of the Mothers will hjave to go thru. But once you hear his voice or get that first letter the days and weeks will go by so fast.

I teared up reading your reply! Lol I am shocked that I have not shrunken into a raisin from dehydration! This would be p day 5, and I am anxious to know if that's the end of the p days and he starts actual boot camp tomorrow, or if p days are still going cause of the amount of SRs or if they are on hold until they get more SRs. I hate not knowing!!!!! I signed up for the informed delivery so that is ready for when I get the form. Starting to think about graduation plans even though I don't have a PIR date, probably a bit premature!

I will try to find you info on p-days, I think following the weeks are easier. I know that the Not knowing is the Hardest part in all of these weeks. Just think positive, know within that he is busting his butt to make it, BC is hard and they really need to focus. here is some thing on P-days.
Those first 4-11 days after the new recruits arrive are called Processing Days (P-days). P-days can last up to 14 days for some recruits if they have to wait for additional recruits to arrive to fill a division.
P-Days: Processing days (AKA P-Week); when recruits first arrive on board the RTC, they will begin filling in their paperwork; they are given further medical and psychological evaluations and receive their inoculations; they send home their box of civilian belongings and receive an initial set of PT gear; are interviewed; and will be assigned to a division. When P-Week is over, Boot Camp officially begins. P-days can be as short as 4 days to as long as 2 weeks, but are seldom over 11 days. About how long after the box does the form arrive? I know it is not exact, but just an ide

The form letter will arrive in about a week average time. But can take up to 2 weeks.
